Line and shape
What locations and subject matter did you choose to shoot for your photos? I chose to shoot my photos in my school as well as around my home.
Describe the photos you took: I took photos of the exterior of my house and the interior of the new high school.
What is the distance in the shot? (How close or far away are you from your subject?) For most of the shots I decided to get up close because I felt it showed the most line definition when I oriented the camera that way.
What was your point of view when you took the photos? (from above, below, straight on...)I shot the photos in all different points of view depending on where the object was.
Are your photographs horizontal or vertical? Some are horizontal but for the most part the photos are vertical.
Did you consider the rule of thirds to compose your shots? In which photos? Describe. Yes, in the photo of the book shelf I put the shelf in one third and the rest of the floor in the other two thirds.
Which one of of your photos is a dynamic composition that successfully leads the viewer’s eye through the work? I would have to say that the photo of the garage door up close brings your view around the picture because of the variety of lines going in all different directions.

Describe your best photo:
What is the distance in the shot? (How close or far away are you from your subject?)
I was relatively close to the water for the shot so I could get the reflection off the water droplets
What was your point of view when you took the photos? (from above, below, straight on...)
My view was on the side of the trash bin that had the water on it.
Is your photograph horizontal or vertical? Horizontal
Does this photo follow the rule of thirds? Why or why not?
(Describe).
No, because the water droplets are in the entire picture
Is this photo an example of pattern, texture and/or rhythm? Explain.
This picture is an example of rhythm and texture because you can see the smooth water droplets that reflect the surroundings like a fish eye would on a camera and the rhythm of the reflection also ties into the intensity of this shot.
Which image may be overexposed? (too bright) Why? Which area/areas is/are too bright?
The picture of the grass, this is because it is so exposed that you cannot see the dew drops on them as you can see in the original photo.
Which image is underexposed? (too dark) Which area/areas is/are too dark? The image of the sky is under exposed because it is too dark around the clouds and you cant see the texture.
Which image is the best example of a properly exposed
photo? Explain why. The water droplets because you can see the sheen on the table as well as the reflection on the droplets themselves.
